Tide Gone
This painting doesn’t have any special meaning to me, it was more of just something I threw together in an hour. I mainly used palette knives for this painting. For the Clouds I used a round palette knife and did my best to shape them into an organic non-symmetrical shape. For the waves I used a long palette knife and spread various shades of blue and white around. This is also why you can see scratch marks in the paint. And the sky is just a blend of darker blues and blacks and the stars/dots on top are just made by pulling back and letting go of a brush with white paint and a little bit of water. Just a little we can’t have our stars dripping. This painting is an example of what I can do with abstract realism, if that even is a thing.
